La Canada Flintridge is a truly unique neighborhood offering a varied selection of activities for every age and interest. A favorite spot for Angelinos, Descanso Gardens is a botanical garden offering a unique Southern California landscape. Prized for its beauty, historical significance, and rare living collection of plants and flowers, you’ll also find plenty of special exhibits, like Enchanted, an interactive, nighttime experience.
Learn about your new neighborhood at the Lanterman House, a bungalow-style historic house museum. The museum’s mission is to collect and preserve the rich history of La Cañada Flintridge and share that history and sense of community with the residents. The museum offers exhibits, educational programs, and annual events, like the Holiday Open House in December and the festive Gingerbread House Contest.
Located high above the Los Angeles basin, the Mount Wilson Observatory offers the best astronomical viewing in America. You can also find horseback riding lessons at the Flintridge Riding Club. The riding facility covers 40 acres and offers jumping arenas, dressage courts, a cross-country field, and accommodations for 180 horses. Go on a relaxing trail ride through the neighboring cities, take a lesson or lounge in the clubhouse.
